Audio Engineer, producer, sound designer, musician, and artist; Keanu Yokoyama creates art from sounds. He has earned his degree in Sonic Arts and Music Production at Portland State University, as well as his Certificate of Creative Coding & Immersive Technologies from Portland Community College.
Keanu’s work can be seen in experiential art installments, instrument, and sound design bringing clients visions to life.
To facilitate his work Keanu utilizes his experience with creative coding and knowledge of programs such as Pure Data, Max MSP, Arduino, Processing, computer-aided design software, electronics, and microcontrollers.
As a freelancer based out of the Pacific Northwest Keanu has taken time to explore the art scene in Portland, Oregon and has been contracted by Parallel Studio LLC to work on projects for companies such as Nike, Hovercraft Studio, IDL, and dotdotdash.
In the studio, Keanu’s experience includes recording, engineering, mixing, and producing. Keanu works collaboratively with artists to create original music, concepts, and sounds.
